ABOUT ROOTS

At roots, traveling together doesn’t mean losing independence—it means enhancing it. Our trips offer the freedom to explore while sharing the experience with like-minded women who are curious, open, and excited to connect. Friendships form naturally around shared meals, conversations, and moments of discovery.

Roots is for women who travel with intention.

Who value culture over checklists.

Who believe the best journeys are the ones that connect us—to places, to people, and to ourselves.

GET TO KNOW US

We’ve always believed that travel has the power to change the way you see the world — and yourself. Through our own journeys, we’ve learned that stepping into new cultures with curiosity and openness brings clarity, confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging. Traveling with others adds another layer: it creates safety, ease, and space for connection, allowing the experience to unfold more fully. Guatemala is a place we love deeply, and through Roots, we’re excited to share its culture, traditions, and beauty in a way that feels intentional, immersive, and truly human.

I travel to learn — especially from people, their stories, and the cultures they shape. I’m deeply curious, love reading and writing, and am drawn to experiences that invite reflection and connection. Travel, for me, is a way of understanding the world with intention and presence. If you speak Spanish, you can find more of my reflections at estoyaquello.com.

I experience the world through food. As a chef, travel is my way of connecting with culture — by learning from local ingredients, traditions, and the people who bring them to life. I believe sharing a meal is one of the most honest ways to share yourself with the world, and that food has the power to create connection beyond language or borders.
